Swedish weaving is quite easy to do. It is a very simple and straightforward form of needlework and can be mastered and enjoyed by all ages. Traditional Swedish weaving, also known as huck weaving or huck embroidery, became popular in America in the 1930's and 1940's when crafters started using embroidery floss to decorate or enhance their white linens, particularly thier huck towels. This wonderful, almost lost, needlework form can be used to decorate not only towels, but also table runners, afghans, pillows, place mats, curtains and more.
