Sally Brandon, Weaver

When you can't find me at the studio, it's probably because I'm running after family or helping my farmer/preacher, Jay. Family is first on my list and these three are the reason I'm able to be the artist in residence at The Shepherd's studio. Each item made at The Shepherd’s Studio is as original as the family behind the artist.  Growing our business in rural Kansas, I choose to reflect the neighbor-helping-neighbor attitude witnessed by generations of craftsmen who valued hard work, creativity and the beauty around them.  I believe that’s the essence of American-made and honors the 4 generations of the American Farm Family who have gone before me.

The Shepherd's Studio home to Sally Brandon, weaver, designer, teacher. Here, you'll find an abundance of hand-woven clothing, accessories and home interior textiles designed for individual women of distinction. Sally invites other weavers (or those yet to discover the joy) to peruse her collection of quality used floor looms, new Kromski rigid-heddle looms and frame and tapestry looms as well as a personally-curated collection of yarns and kits.

Stop in anytime to see what's on the looms or on Tuesdays for lessons.
